Flu Season

We are now getting towards the end of the majority of the flu vaccinations in the practice.  Over the next few weeks the last of the at risk groups should have been in for the annual flu vaccation.  Anyone who has not yet received an appointment should phone the practice - around mid November.  NOTE - if you are housebound and normally have the district nurse visit, then they will be starting their vaccination programme shortly.

We have over 2000 patients to vaccinate each year, so we are grateful for everyone's attendance and especially to the nurses for administering the vaccine.

Late Patients

If you are late for your appointment, the reception staff will check with the GP to see if you will still be seen, however if you are more than 10 minutes late you will have to rebook.   If you feel you must be seen, please speak to the receptionist who can update the GP.

new 0345 Service

THE PRACTICE TELEPHONE NUMBER WILL BE CHANGING FROM 1ST JULY 2015  - 0345 337 0540

Change from 0845 to 0345 numbers

From Wednesday 1 July 2015, all NHS Grampian telephone number starting with 0845 will be changed to 0345.

What are 0345 numbers?

0345 numbers and all other numbers starting with 03 are standard landline rate numbers used by businesses, government and other organisations.

Using 03 numbers instead of area-specific local landline numbers gives NHS Grampian more flexibility in handling incoming calls but does not cost the caller any extra.

The Scottish Government has stated that public sector organisations must have a contact number that is included in consumer call packages and must cost no more than the cost of a local call.

0345 number call costs

The cost to call 0345 numbers is the same as calling a normal local landline.

If your tariff or call package offers free or inclusive calls to landlines, numbers starting with 03 will be included in exactly the same way.

Please note: we have tried to ensure the above information is as accurate as possible and we would recommend you to check with your current provider (mobile or fixed line) who will be able to send you a list of all UK call charges.
