Cancelling your AppointmentIf you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone or use the link at the bottom of this page to cancel your appointment. By giving us as much notice as you can you are helping us to make sure that someone else is given your slot.

Late PatientsIf you are late for your appointment, the reception staff will check with the GP to see if you will still be seen, however if you are more than 10 minutes late you will have to re-book. If you feel you must be seen, please speak to the receptionist who can update the GP.

Great Western Medical Practice
Home visits are for those who are housebound or are too unwell to travel. Otherwise patients are encouraged to come to the surgery where more facilities and equipment are available. Non-urgent visits should be requested by 10.30am.
Urgent visits will be dealt with by the duty doctor.
Please call between 10am and 12 noon or 2 pm -4pm to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request between these times.
Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.
When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice. It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.
