11.7.22. URGENT UPDATE FOR PATIENTS
The practice is under severe pressure due to sudden unplanned absence of clinical staff this month. We can only deal with the very urgent cases. We have been stretched for some time now so these additional absences have made matters worse. We are actively trying to recruit to bring in additional help. Please try to look up https://www.know-who-to-turn-to.com/ for self care advice, and the NHS Inform website or tel: 0800224488 (8 am - 6 pm Mon-Fri)
*** The telephone number that is displayed when we call you has recently changed to 0300 373 0717, you will not be able to call this number back, this will be the same for calls from most of NHS Grampian***
Due to significant staff changes we have taken the decision to proactively approach other GP practices in the city to gauge possible interest in working with us to ensure the future sustainability of the practice and ongoing patient care.
As soon as we have any further information to share, we will inform you first as a matter of priority. We have been very grateful for the support we have already received from practices across the city.
We appreciate this news may be unsettling to you and would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that your health, wellbeing and the ongoing continuity of care remain our key focus.
Please refrain from calling the surgery to ask for more information as our staff will not be able to comment further.
SHINGLES VACCINATION 2022

Welcome to the Great Western Medical Practice Website
The practice is still operating under Covid pandemic restrictions. This means you should not come to the practice unless you have been asked to attend an appointment by a medical professional. Please telephone the practice if you wish to book an appointment, review, or to discuss an enquiry.
If you have been in for an appointment and have been asked to make a review, please go home and phone in. We are trying to ensure patients are in the practice for as little time as possible.
In order to protect our patients and staff, we are asking patients to only attend appointments as close to their appointment time as possible. Please respect the 2m distancing in place and use the automatic hand sanitiser on arrival and departure.
We are open 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday (see Public Holiday and Protected Learning time dates for closures)
